Retired Air Force General Takes to the Skies Again

Brigadier General Richard L. Meyer is a decorated veteran, having been vice commander of 12th Air Force, with headquarters at Bergstrom Air Force Base, Texas. After being diagnosed with a brain tumor, General Meyer thankfully graduated off hospice and arrived at Silverado in need of much support and assistance. With the love of his wife Joanne, and the Silverado team, he has grown stronger each day.

On September 27, General Meyer returned to the life he loved so much. He was a special guest of the San Marcos Commemorative Air Force in the kick-off flyover for the annual Onion Creek Country Club Golf Tournament.

Watch general Meyer talk about flying below, and learn more about his amazing flight here.
