Support for Silverado
“As a long time resident and practicing physician in Brea and Fullerton, I am delighted to express my support for the Silverado Brea Development Project.
Silverado has been lauded with countless awards for its quality and innovation in memory care. From Medicare, 5-STAR Rating, from the OC Register, Top Workplace 2016, the 2016 Alzheimer’s Association Corporate Award and the Hospice Action network Advocacy Innovator Award.
The quality of such an enterprise must be a reflection of its leadership. Loren Shook, Silverado CEO, loves what he does. Bringing dignity and meaning to the lives and families of those with dementia is a challenge that Loren embraced at an early age, and his remarkable success reflects his values of caring for the most vulnerable.“
A letter from Robert M. Rosenberg, M.D., a Brea practicing physician
Someone recently asked us, “Are you really taking residents with memory impairment to a water park?” Yes—we absolutely are.
At Silverado, we believe that memory impairment does not define a person or limit their ability to experience joy, adventure, and connection. With the right support, compassion, and thoughtful planning, our residents can safely enjoy meaningful moments just like anyone else.
Because at Silverado, we see the person, not just the diagnosis. 🩵

Today’s Sensory Floral Club was a beautiful reminder of how deeply our five senses connect us to memory, emotion, and presence — especially for our residents living with later-stage dementia.
Surrounded by the colors, textures, and scents of fresh blooms, we explored each of the senses!
Thank you Nexus at Silverado for allowing our memory impaired residents to experience joy and purpose!

I see my princess in the pictures and I am eternally thankful and appreciative for all the love and care that is extended to her by the magnificent staff members and care-givers and all the others at Silverado Brea. Thank you forever.
When my husband was there, he loved arranging the flowers donated by Trader Joes
