Asia Walker, Silverado Barton Springs’ Administrative Assistant, is a native Austinite. She received her Bachelors of Science in Health from Prairie View A&M University. Asia’s passion for serving has always been a huge part of who she is, whether it be through the nonprofit food program for homeless teens she created at her high school or the extensive volunteering at her local elementary school for art education and working in crisis centers.
Asia’s life goals are to be of service to those around her, and she sees the opportunity to help those with Alzheimer’s and Dementia as a worthwhile way to serve that brings joy to her heart and value to her life. She believes that in working in the community and engaging with residents there is a never a dull moment, and she truly enjoys being able to contribute to those moments of joy that spark life! About her position at Silverado Barton Springs, Asia commented “I am grateful to be a part of such a warm, exceptional and amazing team of individuals who all share the goal of creating experiences in unique and vibrant ways that add value to not only the individual, but the community as a whole.”
