Joey grew up in the Hampton Roads area and moved to the Eastern panhandle of West Virginia in 2013. He has 5 years of commercial maintenance and environmental service experience, as well as extensive self-taught vocational experience of a decade and a half.
Joey became interested in the assisted living field when his grandfather was diagnosed with dementia and his oldest son was diagnosed with epilepsy and autism. He is a born problem solver who leads by example, demonstrating his acquired knowledge and skills. Joey is never afraid to roll up his sleeves and get a little sweat on his brow to help the entire community! Joey takes much pride in ensuring residents live their lives in a beautiful and homelike environment.
Joey can handle a full house at work, and at home! He enjoys coming home to a wonderful wife, three boys, and two fur babies. One of them – Buckeye, his 4 year old English Mastiff – is a regular visitor to the community. In his free time, Joey enjoys watching and participating in a wide range of sports. He also likes hitting the outdoors with his family camping or floating down the creek fishing in a kayak.
