Over the past decade, Karen has played a crucial role in enriching the lives of others. With a background encompassing five years as a Memory Care Director and her most recent role as a Community Life Director, she brings a wealth of passion and experience to Silverado Escondido. Karen is a Positive Approach to Care™ Independent Trainer, a Certified Dementia Practitioner and a Certified Validation Worker through the Validation Institute led by Naomi Feil. Additionally, she is a Chair-Chi Instructor and holds certifications with Rev-In-Motion, an exercise program aiding those with Parkinson’s and related issues, and with Sing-Fit, a program that connects music and movement.
Karen’s personal journey, shaped by her interactions with family members, has significantly influenced her development and guided her towards a fulfilling and empathetic career in memory care. Excited about connecting and building relationships, she looks forward to engaging with residents, associates and their families.
Beyond her professional life, Karen finds joy in spending quality time with her family and friends. Her interests span a wide range, from traveling and practicing yoga to swimming, entertaining, reading, music, dance, museums and DIY projects.
